Alcoholic beverages are part of many's peoples lifes, however not everyone knows the basics about this drink. Therefore I made a little research about this topic.

Production

Alcoholic fermentation is biological process which turns sugar, such as glucose and sucrose into cellular energy, producing ethanol and carbon dioxide as by-products.

Ethanol fermentation has many uses such as the production of alcoholic beverages and the production of ethanol fuel

               

Classification

The alcohols can be divided into three groups; primary, secondary and tertiary. The classification of alcohols depends on the amounts of carbons linked to the funcional carbon of the hydroxide.

Bioethanol is one of the most interesting biofuels due to its positive impact on the environment. Currently, it is mostly produced from sugar and starch-containing raw materials

Nowadays, we use this compound as oil for road transport as a consequence of the rapid problematic of global warming.
